    Yes. SaveMate's free plan includes unlimited standard quality downloads (up to 720p), 3 HD downloads per day, Chromecast support, and storage for 10 videos in your cloud library. No credit card required.

    The Professional plan unlocks unlimited 4K/8K downloads, cloud sync, format conversion, and an unlimited video library.

    Yes. SaveMate works on macOS, Windows, and Linux — any platform that runs a supported Chromium-based browser (Chrome, Edge, or Brave).

    SaveMate is designed for personal archiving and fair use. The extension is verified on the Chrome Web Store and reviewed by Google's security team. All video processing happens locally in your browser — no data is collected, transmitted, or tracked.

    No. Browser extensions are a desktop-only feature, so SaveMate cannot be installed on mobile browsers. SaveMate works on any desktop platform (macOS, Windows, Linux) that runs Chrome, Edge, or Brave.

## Downloads

    3. When the SaveMate icon lights up, click it
    4. Select your preferred quality and format
    5. Click Download

  <Accordion title="What video sites are supported?">
    SaveMate works with any website that uses HLS (m3u8), DASH (mpd), MP4, or WebM streaming. This covers the vast majority of video hosting and streaming platforms on the web.

  <Accordion title="Does SaveMate work with YouTube?">
    No. Chrome Web Store policies prohibit extensions from downloading YouTube videos. SaveMate complies with these policies to remain available on the Chrome Web Store. This restriction applies to all Chrome extensions — not just SaveMate.

    SaveMate includes retry mechanisms for unstable connections. For HLS streams, downloads can be resumed from where they left off. If issues persist, try:

    1. Refreshing the page and re-detecting the stream
    2. Checking your internet connection
    3. Trying a different quality level
    4. Contacting support if the issue continues

    Chrome, Edge, and Brave automatically update extensions in the background. You'll always have the latest version without any manual steps.

## Billing

    Yes, you can cancel anytime from your [billing dashboard](https://savemate.io/billing). You'll retain access to Professional features until the end of your current billing period. After that, your account reverts to the Free plan.
