Last updated: February 5, 2026
SaveMate ("we", "us", "our") collects and uses information in order to operate SaveMate. This policy explains how we do this and applies to everyone who uses SaveMate or creates a SaveMate account.
What Information Do We Collect?
We collect the following personal information:
- 1.Email address and Google account profile information — collected when you connect your Google account to SaveMate.
- 2.Information you choose to share with us — for example in an email, website form, support ticket, social media, or survey responses.
- 3.Technical information — about how you use SaveMate, such as device type, operating system, IP address, and session length.
- 4.Page URLs — when you save a video, use Chromecast, or submit an error report, the URL of the page where the video was found is sent to our servers.
- 5.Device identifier — a randomly generated unique ID stored on your device, used solely for download rate limiting. This ID is not linked to your personal identity.
- 6.Video metadata — video titles, thumbnails, and source information when you save videos to your Watch Later list or use cloud features.
- 7.Download activity — video quality selected when downloading HD content, used for enforcing daily download limits.
- 8.Error and diagnostic reports — if you report an issue or a download fails, the page URL, browser type, and error details are sent to help us improve the service.
We collect the minimum data necessary to provide SaveMate's features. Video detection happens locally on your device. When you interact with a video (save, download, or cast), the page URL and video metadata may be transmitted to our servers. We do not collect or store your general browsing history.
How Do We Use Your Information?

- 2.If we have a legal obligation to disclose the information (e.g., court order).
